Adventure Throwback: Washington D.C. ’12

This picture is from when the EKU Trombone Studio went to Washington D.C. for the Eastern Trombone Workshop that is held at Ft. Myer every March. We did all the touristy things like see the White House, the Capitol Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, toured the old post office, walked through Arlington Cemetery.

It was me and 12 guys (eventually another female joined the studio the last year we went… Yay!), so naturally we tried a whole bunch of the local cuisine and beers. Our place of choice was the Capitol City Brewing Company. We went there twice the week we stayed in D.C. It has a ton of food and a wide variety of local brews that are sure to capture your taste buds! It even caught the attention of my sometimes picky tastes (especially for beer)!
